Leukemia and Related Disorders

Leukemia and Related Disorders

Leukemia and Related Disorders Editor by:
James A. Whittaker
J. A. Holmes

Leukemia and Related Disorders Books Description
This third edition of Leukaemia and Related Disorders represents a quite radical change in structure and emphasis from previous editions. Previously the book has contained an extensive basic science section. Whilst all forms of leukaemia are still covered, the basic science has been cut down and the clinical management emphasized. The third edition will also contain colour plates of blood films.

Head and Neck Imaging (2 Vol set ) 4 edition

Product Description:
Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY. Encyclopedic and detailed reference with expanded information. Presents more pathology, contains more images, and covers new imaging technologies. Abundant halftone images and extensive references are included. Previous edition: c1996. DNLM: Head--radiography.
The new 4th edition of H&N is the true definitive work on head and neck imaging. This is a MASSIVE text that differs drastically from the 3rd edition. Many sections have been re-organized and revamped. There is no question that it aims to be an all-encompassing, reference text. This is not the book for a resident to "read through" during their H&N rotation. Harnberger's text is perfect for that role. This text should be present in every neuroradiology dept.'s library to be readily available for use as a REFERENCE. There is no question that this is the true heavyweight H&N imaging reference text. Any other text that purports to be is just kidding itself. I can only imagine how this book will be come the 6th and 7th editions. By then, I hope the Editors follow Dr. Resnick's lead and put out a "baby" 1 volume edition of Head and Neck Imaging.

Despite technical advances using MR and the emergence of PET imaging, CT continues to be a frequently used imaging modality that has not stood still while others have thrived. Advances in CT have continued apace with other modalities which have taken CT into new areas of imaging that just a few short years ago it could not approach. With the advent of 64-slice CT, a greater number of images can be taken in a much quicker period of time.
